Workshop Options

3 Workshop Formats to meet your needs

Presentations can be customized according to agency setting/focus. This would include a brief site visit (wherever possible) and interview of key staff members—3 or 4 weeks prior to presentation.

Optional: Follow up coaching calls to key staff members to assist with organizational application of Trauma-Informed principles

Cathy is available to travel to your location for up to 2 day long presentations.


Option i: 6.5 contact hours

  • 1.5 hour presentation: Overview of Trauma-Informed Care Perspective
  • 1 hour presentation: Self-blame as a coping defense: the relationship with shame and how this may manifest in a your setting
  • 1 hour presentation: Ambivalent and Disorganized Attachment styles: the “push/pull” in relationships: how this may manifest in your setting; includes overview of healthy professional relationships
  • .5 hour presentation: Vicarious Trauma/Secondary PTSD/Compassion Fatigue: What treatment providers need to know and do for self-care
  • 2.5 hours Mask-making expressive workshop for up to 20 participants)

        Total: 6.5 contact hours

Do you need understanding applying trauma-informed thinking in special settings? These may include substance abuse treatment, crisis center, senior living center, with military populations and others. Cathy can tailor presentations to meet your needs.

Individuals and families who are ex or exiting members of cultish/high-control groups need help adjusting to life outside the group. Are you ready to help them? Cathy's own background with such a group in addition to her professional experience working with this population qualifies her to help you learn how to apply trauma-informed thinking in this realm.
